Biography

Rod Carrillo is the founder and CEO of Carrillo Music. Rod Carrillo is a dance and latin music producer, DJ, remixer and the label’s president.

Born in the Republic of Panama, he began the Carrillo Music record label in 2007 and is a sought after producer and remixer/DJ. He has been a DJ ever since the age of 15 and worked through various nightclubs, radio stations and promotions companies while attending college and law school.

Under his Carrillo Music imprint, he has been known for producing the dance hits: “Take Control” “Mayhem” “It Would” “Very Brady Day”- Julissa Veloz (US Dance #8, Italy # 10, Germany #15, Poland #15), “Beauty Queen” – Kelsey B, “Spotlight” with Eddie Amador and Georgia Nicole (US Dance #8), “Big Mama’s House” – Capretta (US Dance #20), “Going Strong” – Natalia Flores (US Dance #18) and “Breathe” – Eric Redd (US Dance #32) “Sweet Sugar Poison” – Dave Matthias vs Julissa Veloz.

Rod is head of A & R and production for the label. He is attributed for all the artist’s signings and productions that represent Carrillo Music.
