As the world ponders where the female DJ’s and Producers are, here’s a star from Chicago’s underground, who can hold her own as a DJ, Producer/Remixer & Songwriter. Inspiring girl DJ’s for years and creating a path for them to follow, she started one of the first all-girl DJ collectives, SuperJane. Although known by many in the industry, she’s so chill, but when it comes to the music, she kills! She is well known for her energetic, bliss-inducing sets of house & techno. Her repertoire also includes various styles of deep house and open format. Her discography includes appearances in mixes and on remixes by: John Selway, Felix da Housecat, Mark Simmons, Oliver$, Paul Johnson, R.O.N.N and more. She’s traveled from Mexico to Montreal to Moscow and a myriad of places in between. She’s been in documentaries like The Godfather of Disco with Louie Vega, and Girl the Movie (summer 2015 release) with DJ Rap & Sandra Collins. She’s the label pro who signed Kaskade’s first project and told him (Ryan Raddon) to change his name! She’s a Chicago celebrity that was named “House Queen” by famed Chicago Magazine. This woman has even played alongside Afrojack and Skrillex at Lollapalooza. With her own record label D’lectable Music, she signed projects from DJ Sneak, Simon Baker, E-Smoove, Jamie Principle, DJ Alena and so many more. Her mix CD, Naked Kaleidoscope, solidified the classic Naked Music sound and remains a fan favorite. She’s a trailblazer with a fearless spirit! LA Weekly recently listed her in 10 Female DJ’s Who Ruled (Before the EDM Bro Fest) and she’s a woman whose time has come. 2015 marks 20 years of traveling, spinning and spreading the love and it’s time you get to know Chicago house royalty, DJ Lady D.
